First EasyJet Flight is an Experience in Navigating Chaos

Foreground: Young man with short black hair and a grey t-shirt scratching is forehead with his eyes scrunched and mouth slightly open. Behind the confused looking man is another man in a black shirt looking off into the distance with a furrowed brow. Behind them is a woman in a white shirt with a dark grey scarf looking to the right. Behind them all is a lush green forest.

The flight to Rome was the first time for Joe and I to be on EasyJet. Thankfully HT had already flown them to Paris and was able to help show us how to navigate the chaos. It is truly the epitome of chaos to be on one of these flights and common sense and courtesy do not exist. While we did manage we were nevertheless a bit frazzled afterwards. We left the airport to attempt to find the bus to the train station (Termini where our living arrangements were located) and after asking a few different people for directions we found ourselves waiting alone. This can't be right we thought and during that time met a couple of Canadians who were also looking for the bus. The two girls approached me and between the five of us we were finally able to find the bus. Since it wasn't leaving until 11 the three of us took the opportunity to teach the Canucks how to play our new favorite card game. We sat on the ground and laughed and shares our stories.

The Canadians decided to go to Europe at the last minute. They flew into Europe and just found the EasyJet counter where they booked all their flights for the week at once randomly since they finished tests and school early.

By midnight we were at Termini with no clue how to get to our "hotel." After asking a few people we finally found someone who seemed like they knew the owner. We got there to find our B&B was really just someone's apartment that they converted. Ikea beds it turns out are very comfortable.

So now off to see Rome this fine morning.
